OK, I have access to TWO rototillers:
Mine is a G-P badged, not running, very low serial number B1-6. Needs a magneto, skirt and a carb. I got it to cough a number of years ago by stealing parts off of Mom's working one.
Mom's is a Frazer badged, but with a YORK Manufacturing badge (!!), runs, sort of with lots of TLC. It has steel wheels, is labeled as a B1-6 but now has reverse (I helped add the reverse gear back in the late 70's).
I don't think I'll ever get mine running, and Mom hasn't used hers in years. Mom has ALL the original documentation from hers including the purchase invoice from Chicago Fence Co. Contact me if interested in purchasing!

Mornin folks! Just a brand new owner of a proud ol girl, saying Hi. Just brought home my B1-7 from a nice gentleman here in Ithaca who had it from his father who bought her new in 1949. Still starts within a couple pulls, and with a little repair on the control cables should be fully functional not just passable. (wheel clutch controls are snapped and I gather it never bothered him much)
Good to find this site! Hoping the Frazer company is really still there. . . their email didn't bounce, but nobody answered that or the phone.

hi all...I got 2 running machines, another one for parts, and a few boxes of new and used parts. I've been at this site, lurking, for a year or 2. I've had one of these machines since 1989, and use it every year. Will try and get some photos on here as I also have a single plow attachment. Also have a set of those all steel wheels. I do all my own wrenching and can help with gettin or keepin these beast running. I have gotten non-running machines(free or low$$), and just by cleaning plug/mag/points, have been able to get them started, so some folks just give up on them and there aren't very many folks around that know how/what to do to fix em. Anybody in Oregon? Nice to see this site is gettin better...Peace all,rc

I was blessed with 3 units, one had reverse, the other had the wheel clutches and one had none of the above, just a basic unit. I am in the process of locating them to see if I can acquire at least one to use. I sure wish I would have kept them as they were a gift from a very dear friend, they were very hard to let go of.

I have a B-1-6, sn# 18050. My problem is getting it to start. It'll just barely cough and smoke, that's only after much colorful language and the rope snapping three times. The magneto does create spark and has been serviced. Also it leaks oil from some where near the bottom of the engine and the center of tines. Otherwise great site!

Hello, I just bought a Frazer rototiller at a local farm auction and I am trying to determine how old it is. The tag says it's a Model RA (not B1-6 or B1-7), Serial # 120255. Thanks
don haskins:
Scott got the tiller home and almost got it running, Should be tilling by the weekend.

I recently was handed down a B1-7 from my granddad. works wonderfully, but I've got some questions on the drivetrain system. I believe it was built in the late 40's, but not sure.
