B1-7
I got two machines from a guy that said he was tired of looking at them One was kind of complete the other in a basket. The axle seals were leaking as fast as you could fill it up the recoil was broken, it would not start the control rods were on wrong and all bent. It has been quite challenge but worth it now that it will run and maybe till my garden next year.

B1-6 S/N 25106
My grandfather, Louis Zgonc had purchased a B-1-6 Rototiller - Serial No.25106 -circa 1947 - when it was brand new. This machine was used to cultivate very large garden areas on his property in Willoughby Hills, Ohio. I was always fascinated by this machine, when I was a young child in the early 1950's. I am now the current owner of the B-1-6 Rototiller, and it was in excellent operating condition when it was eventually "retired" in 1987 and put into "permanent" storage in my heated garage. ( I purchased a new BCS 850 machine). I still have a lot of great old memories of my grandfather using the B-1-6 Rototiller, as well as by other family members.

B1-7R B1-7 S/N 62730
I have had my B1-7 S/N 62730 for the last 32 years. With parts and manuals supplied by the Frazer Farm Equipment Company of Auburn Indiana, I have had many years of use from the machine. Although for the last 3 years I have not used it, prior to that it was running great. It remains in good condition and I am confident that with just a bit of tender loving care it would eagerly spring to life and be ready for this years garden preparation.

The first is a B1-6RS puchased from a friend in central NY, for $250. My second tiller is a B1-6, with a reverse kit added. This machine was given to me by my dad who used it in his landscape business from 1970 to 2004. Both machines are in excellent working condition, but need paint.

B1-7 Frazer Rototiller, S/N 69606. - (Running)

It has a 26 inch tilling width. I purchased this machine from the original owner near Boston Mass, three years ago. I used it the first year I had it, and the next two years it refused to start. Finally I replaced the mag (Edison Splitdorf) with a Fairbanks Morris, which I had rebuilt. And It now runs. My winter project this coming winter will be to tear the transmission apart and rebuild it, if finances allow, I will also install a reversing unit. It nice to be able to back out of where you can get into. this is the second Rototiller I have owned. The unit I had before needed two hundred dollars in parts every year. After I had rebuilt every group assembly, including the starter, It started to break all over again, and I had enough, and sold it. But fifteen years later, there still wasn't anything on the market to compare to the old Rototiller.

I obtained this machine from my father-in-law, who recently passed away. Small engines and farm equipment were one of his passions. I recently moved to Maine, and have 26 acres. I hope that the tiller will be able to help around the farm.

B1-7RS Rototiller, - (Running)

My brother, Robin Hartrick, has our family B1-7RS Rototiller- from our father, Gordon Hartrick. Daddy bought a new machine in 1942; sent it in to be rebuilt in early 50's and then decided to take the offer to exchange it for a rebuilt one. I rebuilt it in 1968 and it continues in full use to this day. Its next big project may be to loosen the soil to lower my basement floor by 18"- it works well in clay, unlike shovels.

B-1-6 Rototiller, SN#29449, hasn't run in awhile.
B-1-6 Rototiller, SN#24679, paid $30, needs minor work.

#2449 was one of 2 my Father kept running for his Father who farmed a large vegetable garden. One was sold to a local landscape company and I have this one. #26479 was sitting out in a yard in East Hampton, Ct. I stopped and bought it for $30. I believe the 2 my Father and Grandfather owned were about $500 each and bought from Meyers' Garage a few towns away.

B1-6 Graham Paige Model B-1-6, S/N 28402 - (Running but not restored)

My father-in-law,Virgil Harmon, purchased this machine used in about 1953 to rototill peoples gardens and prepare seed beds for new lawns before sod was popular. It starts easy and runs strong. He had all the manuals and paper work with it. He had done some repairs over the years to keep it running. I got the machine when he passed away.I use it every year on my garden and some of the neighbors. It still had the original tires on it until I replaced them about 4 years ago.

Model B1-6/7 Rototiller

I purchased a B-1-6 or B-1-7 in Oregon in 1981 and brought it with me when we moved to Idaho that year. The unit tilled my garden and yard for many years even though all of the features did not function. It now has a flat tire that I would like to replace and is in need of dirve repair on the left side. It may only be a sheared key.

B1-6 that has been in the family for at least my lifetime. Runs pretty well - I still use it every year for the garden, but it could use some new seals etc. As far as accessories, I have steel cleat wheels with mine as well as a sickle mower that my dad said goes with it.
